FWD to Agra

We had a early morning rise AGAIN!!!!!

We were off to catcn an express train to Bharatpur about 2 and a half hours away, where we were met again by our coach( and luggage0 to go to Ghost City and then on to Agra.

Here we had a lesson on "holi Day"what a crazy tradition. holi day is a holiday for a few2 days it seems--- it seems it is a festival of colour and people throw - rub - -put co;our paints on other in a form of celebrating the occasion. We all copped it on the platform where a crowd was going crazy.

Of course the Taj Mahal was the highlight of the trip - at sunrise!!! That is a story in itself.

After lunch we went to visit a marble factory - very nice but heavy and expensive. We "did"another fort on the banks ofthe Yamuna River. Of course we did the markets again and another temple.

So=o= it was on to Khujuraho = firstly by early morning train on the Shatabadi Express to Jhansi about 2 and a half hours.Then it was coach again to Orchha where we were shown over a tiered casltle/palace and more Festival of colour celebtations!!!!!

khajuraho is the "City of Temples" - yes more temples. These were actually quite remarkable - well -preserved and beautifully carved.
After lunch wew were off by air India to Varanasi (Benares)
